Conditions of Tuition

1. Payment for tuition is to be made for the full term in advance, within 14 days of the invoice being emailed.  A payment instalment plan can be arranged via the ‘Pay Now’ button on your online invoice.  You can choose the instalments that suit you best, from the payment options list.  If you choose to pay by instalments, please set up the payment plan before the due date.  Do not wait until you have received overdue reminders.  Doing so will incur extra fees.
2. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or Electronic Funds Transfer. Our preferred method is via our secure online payment provider which can be accessed via the ‘Pay Now’ button on your invoice.
3. If no payment has been received within the required timeframe, tuition may be discontinued and debt recovery may be implemented.
4. Tuition is based on 1 x one-hour session each week of term (unless other arrangements have been made).
5. Literacy for Life uses the same term dates as ACT government schools (unless other dates have been organised).
6. For families attending more than one program in a term, a multi-program discount of 10% is offered on the second program.
7. If the client cancels a session with sufficient notice (24 hours or more), the tutor will, where possible, offer a make-up session at a negotiated time, (to a maximum of two sessions within a term).  If no suitable time can be arranged, a credit for that session will be applied to the next term’s invoice.
8. If the tutor is unable to teach, the tutor will, where possible, make up the missed session, at a negotiated time. If no suitable time can be arranged, a credit will be applied to the next term’s invoice.
9. If the client cancels a session with less than 24 hours notice, the session is forfeited.
10. Please DO NOT BRING SICK CHILDREN to sessions, including siblings and friends. If children are too sick to be at school, then they are too sick to come to Literacy for Life.
